Lions’ Festival of Lights

Despite living in Calgary for most of my life, I had never been to the Lions’ Festival of Lights, which is a traditional staple in the city. I finally took the time to wander through a couple of weeks ago, on a rather brisk night. It’s kind of incredible to see some of the displays they set up – especially when you consider that this is all done through sponsors and volunteers. More than 100,000 (yes, five zeros) lights are used, and nearly three kilometres of cords.
